Food styling practice

I've been watching a lot a videos and practicing at work. Trying to get better at lighting and styling dishes. I don't get to do a lot so it's mostly dinners I've been doing. We also live in s basement so it's SO hard trying go get the dish and the backgrounds in the window while shooting. But here is my first try! 

Remember to lay out all your equipment next to you first, then plan out the meal. With salads it flattens and wilts so fast. I have a spray bottle to keep it cold and give it a fresh spray every now and then.
